The contract between a Landlord and a Tenant is known as a lease. The terms of your lease will greatly impact your life during its term. Is rent due on the 1st and late on the 5th? Can you sublet, if so does it need to be approved by the landlord? Will your lease renew automatically if you fail to give proper notice?
